3D Structural Engineering: Turning a Design into Something That Assembles, Seals and Scales

A rendering decides whether a customer wants to buy. Structure decides whether the product comes back as a complaint. Water leaking into a mask, poor drainage in a snorkel, a snapped fin blade - the root cause of most after-sales issues sits in the structural engineering stage. We use 3D modeling to complete internal structure breakdown and assembly verification, and solve these problems before tooling starts.
What Structural Engineering Covers
- Parting and assembly design - Decide how each part is split, the assembly sequence and clip or thread fit, deliver exploded views, and verify both assembly feasibility and serviceability.
- Sealing and waterproof paths - The sealing method between mask lens and skirt, the sealing faces of a snorkel drain valve, and the interference of barrel joints are confirmed one by one, so a product does not leak in mass output after passing a hand-made sample.
- Material and process matching - Silicone parts get wall thickness designed by hardness and elongation, plastic parts get dimensional allowance by shrinkage rate, and metal parts consider surface treatment and fitting clearance.
- Ergonomics and wearing verification - Skirt contact curves, strap adjustment range and mouthpiece angle are checked against face and head measurement data of the target user group, reducing complaints such as will not stay on, presses on the face, and mouthpiece hurts.

Q: Can you modify the structure of my existing product?
A: Yes, and an improved version is usually much faster than a brand new development. The appearance can stay, and we only change the structural parts causing problems, for example improving anti-fog performance, enlarging the drain opening, or adding strap adjustment sections.
Q: Will we receive the 3D files?
A: Ownership of the drawings and 3D files, and whether editable formats are provided, follow the contract. It can be written into the agreement as a deliverable.
